Blu-ray Looking Even Stronger

It looks like HD DVD just took another big blow. Toshiba is officially ceasing production of HD DVD players. This is big news. Once the largest supporter of the HD DVD platform, Toshiba is suddenly abandoning it.

Along with this announcement, it has been said that Netflix will only be renting out Blu-ray titles. This is even more proof that Blu-ray is clearly the way to go. So if you're thinking about buying that Blu-ray player or PlayStation 3, I say go for it.

I would never buy the PS3 for gaming, but it's an extremely cheap and well put together bluray player.

Yeah, I read this on macrumors today. Apparently, Walmart is also behind the exclusive Blu-ray advocacy. Nothing like a little push from corporate America.
