HD DVD Dead, Blu-ray Officially Wins!

It's finally official, folks! Toshiba today announced they "will no longer develop, manufacture and market HD DVD players and recorders." Yep, you read that right. Sony's Blu-ray is officially the winner in the high definition format war. It's been a long time coming, but the battle has finally closed.

So what you are you waiting for? Go and buy those Blu-ray players! And don't forget, the PlayStation 3 is currently the best deal on the market. Games and movies? Sounds good to me.

I think all of the Blu-Ray players that were bought in the past year or two are obsolete, except for the PS3. Because they're going to release Blu-Ray 2.0, Which wouldn't work on any of these players because they're not firmware upgradable except for the PS3.
