Mac Tip: Close Multiple Windows Simultaneously

This is a great tip that I find myself using pretty often. If you're using an application with multiple windows open and would like to close them at the same time, simply hold down the Option key and click the close button in the top left corner of the window. This will instantly close all the relating windows in just one click. Very cool!

Keep in mind that this is only within the application you are using. For example, if you have four Finder windows open and use this shortcut, only those windows will close. Every other application is not affected.

This tip is the first of many to come! And yes, I will also be posting useful Windows tips. After all, this blog does apply to everyone. If you have any tips you would like to know about, just say so in the comments section and I'll see what I can do!

Command-Q (on a Mac) has the same affect, I believe. That's what I use to quit my programs.
