New Wii Channel: "Nintendo Channel"

Nintendo has officially released a new channel for Wii owners. Dubbed "Nintendo Channel" this free update allows users to browse videos related to the latest Nintendo products, such as the Mario Kart Wii commercials we are all familiar with by now. Users also have the ability to download and sync Nintendo DS demos.

So check your Wii mail! Your free update is waiting. For those of you who have already played around with Nintendo Channel, what do you think?

I haven't gotten the new channel yet, but it sounds really cool! Now the Wii is the only game system I own that within it's "home page" will give you a system update. Are their any others?

desantis, I think the PS3 does that. Or at least it will... Wii dominates the market.

I personally think it is a very big waste of Nintendo's time to create channel's like this. Knowing Wii and it's success, the company should have given much more time and effort into developing software for their consoles. Thanks for the blog post though.

i just got this channel its amazing. Watching the nintendo videos rating your games downloading ds demo etc..... The downside to me is that theres a date limit where the ds demos changes so you have to download it quick before it changes

Technology truly has become one with our daily lives, and I am fairly certain that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as memory becomes less expensive, the possibility of transferring our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I daydream about all the time.
